RigStep — Our History

RigStep was born out of real-world necessity and firsthand experience. The idea came to life one night when the founder of RigStep Products was on the road, needing to replace windshield wipers and a clearance light to stay compliant and keep moving forward. At the truck stop, he faced a (4-5) hour wait just to get those simple tasks completed—delaying his schedule, complicating his logbook, and adding unnecessary stress.

Determined to fix the issue himself, he purchased the parts and attempted to climb onto his steer tires. After several attempts, he managed to do so—albeit with a few bruises and black marks from the rough tires. This is a common challenge faced daily by drivers and mechanics alike.

Inspired by this daily struggle and the need for a safer, more efficient solution, the founder envisioned a tool that would make reaching difficult areas safer, faster, and more affordable. The result was RigStep—a durable, reliable tool designed specifically for truckers and mechanics to perform maintenance confidently and safely.
